Farmers Insurance

A guy driving a prius backed into my car in a parking lot. He admitted it was his fault. The damage in the side of my car was very noticeable.....Farmers Insurance told me that "it's not possible to assign a liability to accidents which happen in a parking lot." AND THEY DIDN'T PAY ME ANYTHING for the damages....Whats the use of owning insurance if they don't do anything for you?

Everyone I've dealt with at this company knows what they are talking about. They are all very nice too. It doesn't cost much for a good coverage plan, I don't see any negatives about Farmers Insurance.
